Dave Make Game - Episode 1 - Appendix
One thing that I learned from being a musician is that if I have to update something for an audience then I’m more inclined to actually get it done. This was true when I was doing my fighting game vlog, and will hopefully be true of this series as well.
So here we have it the very first in a series I’m calling “Dave Make Game.” This is a vlog where I make a game. It will be monthly and with set goals. Here’s hoping that I’ll complete this project or at least inspire someone out there to do something cool as that’s really the ultimate goal of… well life.
Some notes about the production of the video.
- It takes bloody forever to draw those terrible pictures. I honestly hate the style, but can’t really figure out a better way to do it. I could have a camera of me talking, but that makes editing a total pain as I wouldn’t be able to stitch things together as easily. I could draw better, but believe it or not there are around 60 of those terrible drawings and it took me something like 6 or 7 hours over the course of about 4 days.
- I’m not a fan of the audio on this. I recorded with the mic a bit to close to my face and it caused some EQing issues that I couldn’t quite work out. Also I need a pop screen.
- Some of the live commentary isn’t live! Can you figure out what parts?
